The Asian Development Bank has approved a $50 million loan to support Nepal's policy reforms to improve domestic and international trade. The government aims to increase the contribution of trade to GDP by improving trade and export promotion and strengthening the supply chain. The loan will help implement the Customs Reform and Modernization Plan, improve customs processes, establish an online customs valuation database, and reduce export documentation. The program will also expand trade facilitation efforts in the logistics sector. The ADB is committed to achieving a prosperous and sustainable Asia-Pacific region.
