Sri Lanka's northern region welcomed its first luxury cruise vessel, the MS Empress, from Cordelia Cruises, which docked at the Kankesanturai Port (KKS), Jaffna. The arrival of the MS Empress marks a new era of cruise tourists to Sri Lanka through a partnership between the transportation and logistics Advantis Group of Hayleys PLC and India's Cordelia Cruises. The luxury liner boasts 796 cabins across five distinct categories, providing luxury and comfort to its 1,600 passengers. The goal is to attract at least 80,000 visitors to Sri Lanka within the next four months alone.
