Bangladesh's export to India has the potential to grow by 300% if trade barriers are removed, according to the International Chamber of Commerce Bangladesh (ICCB). Currently, the bilateral trade volume between India and Bangladesh is only $11 billion, with Bangladesh's exports to India amounting to $1.27 billion. Implementing a free trade agreement and improving transport connectivity could significantly increase Bangladesh's exports to India. South Asia has untapped potential for regional trade and economic cooperation, with intra-regional trade currently standing at just one-fifth of its potential.
