Boeing CEO, David L Calhoun, expressed his support for the Indian Prime Minister's "Make in India" initiative, and plans to expand the country's commercial aviation market during a meeting with Narendra Modi. Boeing also confirmed new service contracts in India, and the finalisation of an order of up to 290 new Boeing jets from Air India during the Paris Air Show last week. Calhoun stated that the growing investments in India not only underlined the strength of the company's partnership with the country, but also the positive trajectory of the US-India economic relationship.
