Indian authorities completed the evacuation of port-residing communities and vessels from the coast ahead of Cyclone Biparjoy. Around 3,000 people living in port areas were evacuated, and cargo vessels were also moved.The rest shelters have been set up to accommodate thousands of people and doctors from the port hospital have been deputed. Turbulence in the sea has already reached serious levels and high tidal waves have been observed at the coast of Gujarat. 69 trains have been cancelled and transport infrastructure is expected to be severely hit with the arrival of the cyclone.
