Eicher, Amazon collaborate to scale electric truck deployment in India - ITLN

Eicher Trucks and Buses, a division of VECV (a joint venture between Volvo Group and Eicher Motors), will collaborate with Amazon to introduce 1,000 zero-emission electric trucks into Amazon's delivery operations in India over the next five years. The partnership will begin with the deployment of 50 Eicher electric trucks in major hubs. The trucks will feature advanced digital capabilities, customised cargo stacking configurations, and fast and slow charging options. Amazon aims to integrate 10,000 EVs into its delivery fleet in India by 2025.
