Kazakhstan will assume the presidency of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) after the upcoming summit, marking an important role in regional cooperation. Kazakhstan and Germany have strengthened economic ties with multiple agreements and contracts worth $1.7 billion signed during President Steinmeier's visit to Kazakhstan. Furthermore, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, and Georgia have established a joint logistics company to create a trade route bypassing Russia, aiming to enhance connectivity and trade in the region. Georgia, Kazakhstan, and Azerbaijan have also agreed on a five-year road map for the development of the Trans-Caspian Transport Corridor.
