French shipping major resumes service for cashew export from Guinea-Bissau to India and Vietnam - BusinessLine

French shipping company CMA CGM has resumed its Bijagos Shuttle container service, connecting Guinea-Bissau with Spain’s Algeciras. The service transports large quantities of cashew from Guinea-Bissau to India and Vietnam during the seasonal export of the crop. CMA-CGM has announced a dedicated service to Asia which will run from Bissau port to Algeciras on a fortnightly frequency from June 2023 to the end of the cashew season. The product will be fully operated by CMA CGM by deploying two vessels of 1,700 TEU. Most cashew nuts produced in Guinea-Bissau are exported to India for processing.
