The Indian Railways has made significant progress in enhancing railway infrastructure. Under Vision 2024, 9,910 km of track has been commissioned at a cost of 2.45 lakh crore. Two Dedicated Freight Corridors have been constructed, improving freight transportation. The introduction of 50 Vande Bharat trains has also enhanced passenger services. The Mumbai-Ahmedabad High-Speed Rail Project is progressing, and future possibilities for high-speed rail routes have been outlined in the National Rail Plan. These advancements aim to create a more robust rail network in India.
